Problem Identified: Old textbooks at the bookstore have commonly been commonly disposed.

Shawna Cawthorn, Bookstore Director, has been looking into selling these unwanted textbooks to an on-line dealer. From a business standpoint this is a wonderful best practice as it eliminates waste and increases bookstore efficiencies and profit margins. Anytime a company can cut the amount of waste through improved business practices everyone involved wins. The students win because, first, it directly decrease costs by generating cash for books that can no longer be used, and, second, it decreases cost to the institution by reducing the amount of trash disposed. Additionally, the practice is much more environmentally friendly because each book has additional years of use.
