On September
4, 1992 the Western Kentucky University Libraries established the
University Libraries Fine Arts Committee. This committee was
charged with the task of recommending, every two years, purchases
of original works of art from Western Kentucky University faculty
and students. These works are displayed throughout the Helm-Cravens
Library. Since the formation of this committee, the Library has purchased
many works of art in the fields of fiber, sculpture, ceramics, and
painting. This
site is a virtual gallery of the display of a sample of the art
pieces. Use the left-hand side menu to navigate through the gallery.
