  • TOPCAT
  • TOPCAT is our web-based catalog. Users can point and click to search the Libraries' holdings; print, e-mail or download results; and seamlessly link to cited Internet resources
  • Search by title, author or keyword for the Libraries's book, periodical, sound and video recordings collections, Kentucky government documents, and much more
  • Not included in TOPCAT are holdings for U.S. government documents, microform collections, Kentucky Museum artifacts, and maps

    Online Databases
  • The Libraries provide WKU faculty, staff and students access to over a hundred databases with some 5,000 full-text journals, magazines, and newspapers.
  • WKU students and employees can now access most of the library databases off campus via an EZproxy server using only the username (eg. john.doe) and password of their WKU issued e-mail account.
  • Members of Friends of WKU Libraries can access KYVL databases, including FirstSearch and EBSCOhost, as well as the Libraries' Proquest database subscriptions. Call (270) 745-7056 or 1-888-958-2586 to become a Friend.
  • Online databases are accessible from the WKU Libraries' home page at www.wku.edu/Library or TIP at www.wku.edu/library/tip.

    E-journals
  • WKU faculty, staff and students can access several hundred full-text journals through the Libraries' multi-title services including JSTOR, Project MUSE and ScienceDirect Web.
  • WKU students and employees can now access most of the library databases off campus via an EZproxy server using only the username (eg. john.doe) and password of their WKU issued e-mail account.
  • E-journals are accessible from the WKU Libraries' home page at www.wku.edu/Library or TIP at www.wku.edu/library/tip.
