Western Kentucky University
is located in Bowling Green, Kentucky, a town that has a population of
50,000. It is located 110 miles south of Louisville
and 65 miles north of Nashville,
and has several main industries, along with growing retail, hotel, and
restaurant businesses. Bowling Green produces one local newspaper,
one commercial and two educational television channels, and numerous radio
stations. There are various churches in Bowling Green which support
the campus population. There is no source of public transportation
for Bowling Green. The Bowling Green Public Library houses a collection
of 182 serials, 16 newspapers, and 105,000 books. The hours of operation
are Monday to Thursday 9am - 9pm and Friday to Saturday 9am - 5pm.
It is located two blocks from WKU and supports dial-in access to its automated
card catalog.
