A Kind of Nobility: The Kentucky Orphan Brigade

Confederate Encampment

On February 6, 1999, the Kentucky Museum celebrated the opening of the exhibit, "A Kind of Nobility: The Kentucky Orphan Brigade" by holding an encampment of Confederate soldiers. Re-enactors portrayed officers and enlisted men who served in the 2d, 3d, 4th, 5th, 6th and 9th Kentucky Infantry regiments during the Civil War. Come take a virtual tour of the event that recreated a day in the lives of the men who served in the First Kentucky Brigade, "the best brigade in the Confederate army!"
