Warren County (1950)

Warren County High School opened in 1950 and took in the schools of South Warren (Woodburn, Rich Pond, and Rockfield) and Hadley. Aside from those pupils who attended Alvaton, Warren County educated county students who lived south of the Barren River.

Warren Central
High School
(1968)

In 1968 Alvaton High School consolidated with Warren County to form Warren Central. All students living south of the Barren River attended Warren Central. With the opening of Warren East the following year, two high schools served the students in the county school system.
