Bill Sanders invented journalistic credentials in South Korea to obtain a position on the post unit of Stars and Stripes and experienced a "eureka moment" when he came across a book by legendary Washington Post cartoonist Herblock in the Post Library. Sanders worked for two years at Pacific Stars and Stripes in Tokyo following his discharge. This photo was taken when he returned to South Vietnam on a writing and drawing assignment in November 1967.
