Over its 57-year history, the Bowling Green Business University trained numerous students to become accountants, secretaries and business teachers. Originally operated by Henry Hardin Cherry along with the Southern Normal School, it was sold to new owners in 1906. The school offered an excellent educational program for commercial or business teachers in the United States and was highly regarded for its coursework in higher accounting. Known locally as the B.U., it merged with Western Kentucky State College in June 1963. (learn more)
