Ely Norman of Nashville opened Norman's Store on March 22, 1935 with $3,000 in cash. The local newspaper described the new store as "brightly colorful and yet restful" where "nothing . . . for the convenience and comfort of the customer has been omitted."

 



 

 


Pushin's Department Store and Martin's were two Bowling Green businesses that sold women's ready-to-wear for many years.
