Farmers grow and process tobacco today
in much the same way as they did 100 years ago.

H. B. Scott formed the Scott Tobacco Company,
one of Bowling Green's oldest manufacturing firms, in 1900. The
company produced nineteen brands of chewing tobacco, which its
workers rolled into twists. The company later shredded and packaged
its product in pouches as well.
