In December of 2000, the Kentucky Museum hosted a WKU Theater production of International Holiday, a play by Bowling Green native Mary Hall Surface. The play highlights four different winter celebrations: Hannukah, Gan-Tan (Japanese New Year), Navidad (a Christmas in Mexico), and Kwanzaa.

The backdrop of the play was created by Chris Tabor and Mary Charalambous, art students at WKU.
