A supporter on West Street four blocks from Ground Zero chants "Thank You" while holding up a sign of encouragement to rescue workers the day after the attack. West Street was the main artery for rescuers moving in and out of the disaster area. Hundreds of New Yorkers lined the street shouting words of support.
