Skeletal remains of World Trade Center

The skeletal remains of the World Trade Center, as viewed through the vacant valley of the Financial District, remained for a time to remind America of its newfound vulnerability. "It's removed some sort of innocence I still felt in my heart," said Molly Parker Myers, a former New Yorker who came back to witness the tragedy. "It's just not there now.”
