New York: a city searching for hope

Herran Bekele puts up a sign outside St. Vincent’s Hospital asking for information about Eskedar Malaku, missing now for four days after the attack. Malaku, a friend of Bekele’s sister, worked on the 98th floor of One World Trade Center. “I just wanted to help my sister and her friends,” Bekele said. “This is just something we can do. Everyone knows someone. We understand the reality, but we are just hoping.”
