Nannie (Chaney) Crabtree was born to James Riley and Emma L. Chaney September 5, 1893 in Hart County, Kentucky. One of seven children, she married F. Osborn Crabtree of the same county. Crabtree lived in Peoria, Illinois in the mid-forties with her husband. Several years after his death in 1952, she moved to Warren County, Kentucky to live with her sister Maud. The only reference to Crabtree's occupation is the 1967 Bowling Green City Directory which lists her as retired. Crabtree outlived all of her immediate family and died in Bowling Green July 11, 1981.
