President's home
A fine example of Federal architecture, the President’s home was completed in 1931. Typical Federal ornamentation includes the semi-circular front portico, the accenting balustrades, and the Grecian urn above the front central windows. The red brick and limestone quoins match the materials used in the Kentucky Building just down the slope. The president’s home was converted into the school’s alumni center and development offices in 1960.

President's home watercolor
The original watercolor of the President’s home is not known to exist, this photograph of it has survived.

Davis carried the delicate features of Federal architecture inside the 1929 President’s home. Notice the fluted pilasters of the fireplace mantel, the reeded cornice, and the urn above the side door.
