Industrial Arts Building
Work began in 1928 on the new Industrial Arts Building. Local limestone used for the building’s facing enhances its Classical Revival styling. One former director of industrial arts program called the building one of the most innovative in the United States. It contains large, unimpeded work areas that can be divided with temporary walls and lighted by oversized windows. The building was equipped for woodwork, sheet metal work, forging, architectural and graphic drawing, printing, and farm mechanics.
