Home Economics Building
Showing limitless resourcefulness, Davis designed the Home Economics Building in 1926, utilizing salvaged materials left from a razed campus structure. The building of rough ashlar limestone blocks was accentuated with attractive pilasters and a pedimented entryway. Destroyed in 1982, the building is the only Davis structure at Western that has been razed. Stone was salvaged from the structure to build the retaining wall for the parking lot that replaced it.
