Cherry Hall
Davis made President Henry Hardin Cherry aware of government funds for public capital improvements during the Depression. Cherry Hall was constructed with the assistance of the Public Works Administration. Classical in form with a temple front and a magnificent tower, Cherry Hall was finished in 1937. It contained fifty classrooms, sixteen laboratories, sixty offices and the college’s bookstore and post office.
