Cincinnati artist, Leslie Shiels was commissioned by the Cincinnati Horticultural Society for the 1998 Flower Show poster. She painted 22 (24"x24") oil paintings of individual flowers with local/regional history, of which 9 were selected for the poster and susequently the quilt.
In November 2000 the quilt artists who created this wall hanging donated it to the Kentucky Museum.
