Celebration Quilt, 1999 Piecework, Hand Quilting 95.4 x 94 inches Designed by Tona Barkley Pieced by Lorene Gruber The Kentucky Historical Society Commissioned by the Kentucky Historical Society for the dedication of the Kentucky History Center, this textile was quilted by 313 volunteers over over a three month period. The pattern is Log Cabin (Sraight Furrow), and the names of each county and the date they were established are embroidered in the "logs."
