James Cecil "Hoot" Holland (1902-1971)

A Franklin, Kentucky native, Holland earned a degree from the BU in 1929 and an M. B. A. from
Northwestern University in 1933. He became professor of accounting at the BU in 1933 and also
served on Western's faculty after its merger with the BU.

Holland was also the founder of J. C. Holland & Co., a public accounting firm located in Bowling
Green.
