J. Murray Hill, Sr. (1891-1961)



J. Murray Hill was born in Rineyville, Kentucky. In 1912 he entered the Bowling Green Business
University as a student, then became the school's bookkeeper and a faculty member. In 1921 he became
Vice President, serving until 1945 when he succeeded J. Lewie Harman as President.

Hill continued to serve as President after the school's facilities were transferred to an independent
board, but died less than a month later, on January 27, 1961.
