Clyde Boulton Cates (1898-1984)

A Warren County, Kentucky native, Clyde Cates attended the Bowling Green Business University, then
earned a B. S. from Indiana University and an M. B. A. from Northwestern University. She joined the
BU faculty in 1936 and served in the Business Administration Department.

Mrs. Cates joined the Business and Government faculty of Western after its merger with the BU in
1963. She retired in 1966.
