The CCC enrollees performed
much work to improve the utilities at the park. They spent 25,000
man-days creating a water system and reservoir. They worked on construction
of a water line, digging trenches and laying pipes. They created
4 miles of sewage system for the residential, utility, hotel, and
camping areas. They spent 12,000 man-days installing 43 miles for
the telephone system, and built a telephone exchange building.
