CCC enrollees constructed many buildings for use by the National
Park Service at Mammoth Cave. Many of the buildings they constructed
are still in use by park employees today. The enrollees spent 5,450
man-days constructing 6 houses for park personnel, 400 man-days
constructing bathrooms for the campground area, 1,750 man-days constructing
an outdoor amphitheater, and 3,300 days constructing a machine shop.
Other projects the enrollees completed for the park buildings and
grounds include landscaping, roadwork, surveying, and building a
ferry house.
