Leadership in the camps consisted primarily of Project Superintendents, Camp Commanders, and Foremen. Other leaders within the camps would have been hired professionals to oversee particular projects, Park Engineers, and Forestry Rangers. The enrollees themselves could serve as leaders within their barracks and on some of the projects they performed.
Supervisors inspected the work of the enrollees and made detailed reports sent to the National Park Service, Department of the Interior. Because of the records kept by the supervisors, we have detailed reports of the projects and the amount of man days it took to complete them.
