The first gathering of the Kentucky Virtual Library Users' Group (VLUG) took place Thursday afternoon, 17 October, 2002 at the Galt House, Louisville. With about 70 members present and plenty of refreshments, the constitution and bylaws of the organization was approved and interim officers affirmed. Bill Hansen will serve as president and Ben Graves as secretary/treasurer until elections can be held at the first regular annual meeting, tentatively projected for May, 2003. The goal of VLUG is to serve as a forum for KYVL users to voice their concerns and share experiences with fellow users. The reception at the Galt House was so successful, that many members expressed an interest of continuing the practice at future KLA annual meetings.
