Build a legacy
Photo of Kentucky Building "dime banks"
In the past, Kentucky school children built their legacy through collecting dimes that helped to build the Kentucky Library and Museum. Today, the university supplies the facility and limited personnel. In order to maintain our collections as well as enhance our facilities and programs, it is essential to have private commitments through the creation of endowments and current operational support. Your generosity determines the quality of our exhibits, our ability to purchase items for the collection, and the number of special events and programs we can offer.

The Kentucky Library and Museum provides our community and region with a time capsule and exploration center. We provide additional learning opportunities for schoolchildren, provide a research center for all ages and share the story of Kentucky with tourists. Whether you are interested in ensuring quality programs for children, purchasing acquisitions for the collection, naming a gallery, or sponsoring an exhibit, we welcome you to join us in our quest to collect and preserve the legacy of Kentuckians and Kentucky.

Carrie Barnette welcomes the opportunity to discuss the numerous giving options with you and your family. Please contact her at 270-745-7056 or toll free at 1-888-958-2586 for additional information.
