from the Past to the Present
(April 17 - June 15, 2009)
Authors and creators want to tell, to see through words, and
to be seen and heard. Written communication is an attempt
to create shared understanding through written symbols, and
so this exhibit focuses on the tools used to create those
symbols, and offers some rare examples of papyrus and cuneiform,
and other very early illustration and printing examples. Three
of Kentucky’s most noted authors and their works are
also highlighted, as well as more current books.
