Item/Collection
Note: While in Washington attending a Senate session, Joseph
Rogers Underwood on July 3, 1850, writes his wife in Bowling
Green, Kentucky...
"I feel like running away from this place & going
home. I am tired to death of the wickedness & folly which
prevail here. Do write me long letters about the dear children.
I shall send some books to John in a few days. In good health
I am devotedly yours." |
