Item/Collection Note: Steamboats on the Barren and Green Rivers were used for pleasure and commerce. Especially popular were excursions to Mammoth Cave aboard the Chaperon. The Chaperon plied the Bowling Green - Mammoth Cave route from 1904 to 1917.
