Published by Charles W. Goldsmith. Lithographed by American Lithographic Co. (Series No. 1 Design No. 4)

Item/Collection Note: The chief purpose of most expositions staged in the late nineteenth - early twentieth century period was exhibiting civic pride and industrial success of an area. Most also celebrated a significant historical event, such as the 400th anniversary of the discovery of America by Christopher Columbus, commemorated with the World's Columbian Exposition (Chicago's World Fair). Official and unofficial postcards proliferated.
