Note: "Long before I was elected to Congress I made up
my mind that if I was ever in a position to do anything about
the Barren River something would be accomplished to relieve
our people of the annual flood damage........ This was one
of the great days as far as my Congressional career is concerned
and this past weekend I was in Kentucky....... to dedicate
