Costume
Collection
The Kentucky Library and Museum costume collection includes clothing
that dates primarily from the 19th and 20th centuries. People typically
save clothing that were favorite items, associated with special
events in their lives or represented an occupation or achievement
of that person. The garments shown here are a sampling from a collection
that numbers over fifteen hundred items.
