Research Fellowship

The Kentucky Library and Museum (Special Collections) at Western Kentucky University offers a fellowship of $500 to a faculty member and/or graduate student to encourage his/her scholarly use of its nationally significant collection. Funds may be used for travel expenses to Bowling Green and for photocopying fees. Letters of application must demonstrate how the Kentucky Library and Museum collections are relevant to the writer's research topic and suggest how the research will lead to a publication or presentation.

The library and museum collections are especially strong for the antebellum and Civil War eras of Kentucky and the South, and in religion, the Shakers, speleology, textiles, furniture, and Victorian dolls.

Applications will be reviewed April 1, 2008 and the recipient will be notified by April 15. For additional information contact the Kentucky Library & Museum at 270-745-5083.
