On Saturday, March 6, sixteen teachers, grades 3-12, from a six county area attended a professional development transportation workshop that addressed how the boat, wagon and railroad affected America's westward movement from Europe to the Pacific coast. The participants also received samplings of primary sources and discussed how to use them and similar materials to enhance classroom lessons. Taught by Carol CroweCarraco ( History Dept) and Nancy Baird (Kentucky Library), the half-day workshop was sponsored by the Kentucky Library and Museum in conjunction with WKU's Green River Regional Educational Cooperative.
