After the Hilltoppers combined their seventh consecutive Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship with another Southern Intercollegiate Association title, the citizens of Bowling Green presented Diddle with a Dodge sedan. He received another new car after coaching his 1,000th game in 1962.
