UA36I Faculty/Staff Personal Papers Series 17 - Robert Green Administrative History: Documents regarding Robert Green and his work at Western Kentucky University. The bulk is correspondence regarding students, speaking engagements, county institutes and ordering textbooks. See also R.P. Green Extent: 2 folders Dates: 1912-1919 Biographical/Historical Note: Robert Green (1882-1963) native of Mayfield, KY graduated from the Southern Normal in 1902 and secured a teaching position there the next year. In 1906 he became one of the founding faculty members of Western Kentucky teaching geography and ancient classics. Green left Western in 1920 holding positions in the State Tax Commission, Kentucky Department of Education, Rand-McNally, and various federal appointments.
