Biographical/Historical Note: Robert Green (1882-1963) native of Mayfield, KY graduated from the Southern Normal in 1902 and secured a teaching position there the next year. In 1906 he became one of the founding faculty members of Western Kentucky teaching geography and ancient classics. Green left Western in 1920 holding positions in the State Tax Commission, Kentucky Department of Education, Rand-McNally, and various federal appointments.
