Administrative / Biographical History:

The president's office was created in 1906. Kern Alexander was the seventh person to hold this position. Born in Marrowbone, Kentucky June 30, 1939 Alexander completed his undergraduate work at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky. He received is master's degree from WKU and his Ph.D. from Indiana University. His brief tenure as president was a transition period in the university's history.
