Search Premier, MasterFILE, MAS FullTEXT Ultra:
These three all-subject services,
a part of the EBSCOhost system (a powerful online
reference system accessible via the Internet or direct connection)
feature indexing and abstracting of many journals and magazines
WKU Libraries receives in hardcopy, plus a large selection
of articles in full text.
- ArticleFirst:
This all-subject FirstSearch-based database indexes
almost 13000 journals and magazines from 1990 onward, including
some ninety percent of the ones University Libraries carries
in hardcopy.
- Social
Sciences Index: A paper product that indexes a good
number of social sciences-related journals REF AI3 .S62
(April 1974-).
- Sociological
Abstracts: Available in print, 1953- (Ref.Per HM1.S67).
The
following services are recommended for use by advanced students
and researchers:
- Sociological
Collection: An EBSCOhost database with nearly
570 full text titles; more than 500 are peer-reviewed.
- EssayGenLit:
FirstSearch database that cites essays and
articles contained in collections of essays and other works
published in the United States, Great Britain and Canada.
Areas covered include humanites and social sciences (available
to graduate students and faculty, and to undergraduates
by special permission).
- Project
Muse: "Provides online, worldwide, institutional
subscription access to the full text of over 100 scholarly
journals in the arts and humanities, social sciences and
mathematics." (Access to this database is restricted
by IP address via the campuswide information system, WKUNet.
Dialup remote access is not available.)
- Abstracts
in Anthropology: REF GN 1 .A15 vol. 1- (1970-)
- Annual
Review of Anthropology: (main) GN 1 .A623 vol. 1- (1972-);

Provides the full text/full image web access of the complete
archival collections of a large number of journals, up to
the most recent three to five years.
- Humanities
Index:
FirstSearch database that indexes articles in the
diverse subject areas of the humanities (available
to graduate students and faculty, and to undergraduates
by special permission).

Electronic Journal Finder [use to access Libraries'
