The University Libraries Advisory Committee (ULAC) was established in 1994 at the request of the Council of Academic Deans and the Vice President for Academic Affairs. ULAC reviews library policies and makes recommendations to the Dean of Libraries and to the Vice President for Academic Affairs.

There are thirteen voting members of ULAC who represent the colleges, graduate students, and undergraduate students. The Dean of Libraries and an elected faculty member from the University Libraries & Kentucky Museum sit as ex officio members of the Committee.
