Health Counseling

Painful feelings such as anxiety, anger, depression, low self-esteem or tension are a normal part of being human and can affect anyone. These feelings are often temporary and can be eased by rest, relaxation, exercise, good nutrition, and support from trusted friends.

At other times, stressors, relationships, or past family experiences are unmanageable and become overwhelming. When this happens and you find it hard to function you may want to seek professional help.

Immunizations

It is important (even as an adult) to keep immunizations up-to-date (i.e. Flu, Hepatitis, etc.). As well as there are certain illnesses that people in a college setting (living in dorms, or with several roommates) are more prone to. Meningitis is one of them and it is recommended by the American College Health Association (ACHA) that any student that is living in a dormitory/residence hall or in close quarters with other students receive the Meningitis vaccine called Menomune. Health Services has the Meningitis vaccine along with other vaccines available.
