* Allergy Note: Most serious allergic reactions occur in the first 20-30 minutes following allergy injections (rarely, serious and fatal reactions have been reported to occur up to several hours later). It is in the policy of health services to recommend that all patients wait the required time as advised by their allergist. If the patient chooses to not wait the allotted amount of time, they do so at their own risk. According to the American Association of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, the minimum waiting time following allergen injections is 20 minutes; however, your allergist may require a longer time. Should your allergist not require a specific time, the waiting period recommended will be 20 minutes.
