Alisa S. Ghazvini has a Ph.D. in Child Development and has worked in the early childhood field since 1984. She has operated a preschool program, served on faculty at Florida State University Department of Family and Child Sciences, held leadership positions within public and private early childhood organizations in Florida, and served as a consultant to a variety of organizations and entities in several states.
Alisa's training and consulting interests include public policy research and development, program design and evaluation, early childhood accountability systems, infant and toddler development, family involvement, and early childhood leadership. Her work as a consultant has included assisting in the development of early learning standards for young children and core competencies for early care and education practitioners for the State of Florida, as well as production of numerous policy reports and papers for The Florida Children and Youth Cabinet and the Policy Group for Florida's Families and Children. She currently serves as facilitator for the Florida Early Care and Education Professional Development Initiative.
Dr. Ghazvini is honored to have served on the Board of Trustees for Tallahassee Community College and to have been a recipient of the Centennial Laureate Award from the FSU College of Human Sciences and the Hall of Fame Award from the Florida Family Child Care Home Association.
