SUMMER APPLICATION FOR STUDENT FINANCIAL AID
Summer 2008 (May 12 - August 7)

Please answer all questions.  In addition to this form, certain other requirements must be met.  They are:

  1. Students must have completed and submitted a 2007/08 FAFSA.
  2. Students must be in compliance with the standards of WKU's Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy.  If you are currently on  a probationary award status your summer application will not be reviewed until spring grades are available.
  3. Students MUST BE enrolled in Summer Classes BEFORE Summer Financial Aid will be awarded.
  4. Students MUST BE enrolled in a minimum of 6 hours, May-August, to receive a Student Loan for Summer.
  5. Consoritum Students must complete a Consortium Request Form at www.wku.edu/finaid.  Go to Forms.
  6. Correspondence Studies students must sign a C/S Agreement at www.wku.edu/finaid.  Go to Forms.  C/S hours cannot exceed regular hours.

Federal Student Loan in addition to any grant I may be eligible for.  **Summer loans are available only if you have not borrowed your annual limit during the academic year or if you have advanced a grade level.  Annual limits:  Freshman, $3500; Sophomore, $4500; Junior/Senior, $5500; Graduate, $8500.  (Independent students may be eligible for additional unsubsidized loans)
  2. Student Employment Only: You will be linked to the Application for Student Employment after submission of this form.
  3. Grants: Pell grant is available to students who did not use their eligibility through the acadmic year.
