OTHER SCHOLARSHIPS Kentucky Educational Excellence Scholarship (KEES) Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority (KHEAA) administers KEES. This scholarship is for Kentucky high school graduates. Eligible students can receive the scholarship for a maximum of eight academic terms in an undergraduate program. The KEES scholarship must be used within five years of high school graduation. To receive the full amount of the scholarship, Tuition Waivers Tuition Waivers are available from the State of Kentucky for a qualifying spouse or child of a deceased or permanently disabled policeman, fireman, national guardsman, war veteran, prisoner of war, or service man missing in action. Additional information is available upon request in the Office of Student Financial Assistance. Veterans Assistance There are several categories of educational benefits for eligible students including Montgomery GI Bill; both Chapter 30 (active duty) and Chapter 1606 (reserve/national guard); Chapter 35 (Dependents Educational Assistance Program); Chapter 32 (Veteran's Educational Assistance Program); and Chapter 31 (Vocational Rehabilitation). Vocational Rehabilitation Students with disabilities may qualify to receive assistance from the Kentucky Department of Vocational Rehabilitation.
