VA Online Orientation

Before you can be certified to the Department of Veterans Affairs, you must:

1) submit the VA Application for educational benefits
2) submit the Confirmation Report at the end of the below listed orientation
3) submit the Certification Request Form to the VA Office at WKU

You can obtain the application at either www.wku.edu/finaid/vaforms.htm or www.gibill.va.gov.

Chapters 30, 1606 and 1607 recipients need to submit the 22-1990 VA form.  Chapter 35 recipients need to submit the 22-5490 form.

If you submit the form on the website for the Department of Veterans Affairs, you must wait to finish the process when you receive a letter of eligibility from VA.  You may print the application and mail it to the VA Office at WKU and we can submit the application for you.  At that time we can set up a file for you.  However, before you can be certified to VA, you must complete the following online orientation.

Orientation for Chapter 33
(Post 9/11 Recipients )

Orientation for Chapter 30, 1606 or 1607
(Montgomery GI Bill Recipients )

Orientation for Chapter 31
(VA Vocational-Rehabilitation)
