ALUMNI GRANT PROGRAM

The Alumni Grant Program is a grant offered to any qualified non-resident student whose parent,  grandparent, or step-parent holds an Associate, Baccalaureate, Masters, or specialist degree or who has completed a certified program from Western Kentucky University. This program also includes institutions which are now a part of WKU (Bowling Green Business University, Ogden College and Potter College).

Tuition for qualified students will be assessed at approximately 1.25 times the corresponding full-time resident rate for under-graduate students attending the main campus, (approximately $915.00 per semester above in-state tuition).

Students who qualify for the Alumni Grant may also apply for other University scholarships.

UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS
Undergraduate students who meet the following requirements qualify automatically for an academic year and/or summer-term Alumni Grant.

• Beginning Freshmen: ACT composite score of 20 or higher or a high school grade point average of at least a 2.5 on a 4.0 scale or an SAT combined score of 930.
• Transfer Students from an accredited college or university: A cumulative college GPA of 2.2 or higher on a 4.0 scale where one academic year (24 semester hours) or more of full-time enrollment has been completed.
• Readmission Students: A cumulative GPA of 2.2 where one academic year (24 semester hours) or more of full-time enrollment has been completed.

Students who receive the Alumni Grant will automatically qualify for the grant the subsequent academic year provided they maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.2 or higher. Students enrolled without an Alumni Grant may qualify the subsequent semester if they attain a cumulative GPA of 2.2 or higher in one or more semester(s) of full-time enrollment.

GRADUATE and TRANSIENT STUDENTS

• Graduate Students admitted to WKU in good standing are eligible for the Alumni Grant.
• Transient Students must have the Visiting Student Form H on file in order to qualify for the Alumni Grant.

HOUSING REQUIREMENTS All students with 59 or fewer earned semester hours registering as full-time (12 or more hour) are required to live in campus housing. For information concerning exemptions or to mail housing agreement and deposit, contact Office of Housing and Residence Life.
