• The "margin" on new text books has been reduced from 25% to 20%. This makes our mark up one of the lowest in the nation. Because of this, no discounts are given on text books.
  
  
• RA's (Residence Hall Assistants) and GA's (Graduate Assistants) are considered staff of WKU. They must present a valid WKU picture ID, identifying them as either an RA or GA to receive the faculty-staff discount.
  
  
• Staff and faculty will receive a 20% discount on all general merchandise and apparel. This includes office supplies, logo wear, and logo memorabilia. (The past discount has been 10%). New discount applies to personal purchases and purchases charged to the department account for re-bill. Discounts do not apply to computer accessories and software as the mark up on these items is exceptionally low to begin with. If you have a question of whether or not the discount applies on a given item, just ask a sales associate. To get this discount, the customer must present a university photo ID at the time of purchase (spouses, children, and other relatives showing your photo ID are NOT eligible for the discount).
  
  
• Staff and faculty may purchase items for their departments from the store via "charge" where the purchases will be rebilled to the appropriate university account. The procurement card may also be used.
  
  
• The University Bookstore will honor coupons and special prices that can be verified from any of our local competitors (text books purchases only). Bring it in, and we will honor it as if it were our own.
  

All net proceeds of the University Bookstore are going toward the support of student operations and activities within Student Affairs and Campus Services.
